World Air Games Torino 2009
A SUCCESS STORY IN MID AIR
Turin - The success of the Air Show on Sunday 14 brought to an end the splendid series of airborne events held in the skies above Turin, Collegno, Avigliana and Mondovì for the World Air Games. The time has therefore now come to thank the Organising Committee and operating staff for the World Air Games Torino 2009, the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale), the government institutions of Regione Piemonte, Province di Torino and Province di Cuneo, the Municipalities of Torino, Collegno, Avigliana and Mondovì, the Sponsors Gruppo Finmeccanica (Thales Alenia Space, Telespazio, Selex Galileo, Alenia Aeronautica), Intesa Sanpaolo, Iride, Reale Mutua, Total, Panasonic e Tecnocube, the Armed Forces, and the Voluntary Associations for having welcomed, supported and assisted in the realisation of an event that attracted 40 countries, 300 athletes, over 300 media representatives, and a total of 35,000 spectators.
