World Air Games Turin 2009: TV and Internet production and distribution

The World Air Games are an unmissable opportunity for raising the already very high level of interest in Air Sports: Television, Internet and DVD will play a fundamental role in this area.

The development of Internet is fast and unstoppable, and this means will have a fundamental role in our World Air Games.
For this reason, broad coverage of the event, with innovative technology is planned.
The Main Centre (Main Broadcasting Centre) will be set up at the Aeroporto Torino Aeritalia with sub-centres at Avigliana and Mondovì.

The Opening and Closing Ceremonies will also be covered.

To maintain the spectators’ high level of interest, and transmit all the great excitement to them, we shall use advanced technology:
Audio and visual shots on board competing aircraft, with transmission to earth
Long-range telecameras to make the competitions seem as close as possible
Stable shots from helicopters, to "accompany" the competitors in their tasks
Use of virtual reality, to show on big screens the positions and tracks of competitors out of sight
Points, times and results shown on the screens
Live comment by expert pilots: they will bring the audience closer to the competitions, explaining rules, errors, pilot’s emotions
